Why they do this: Genshin is MHY’s most popular game. People are just dumb and like to doompost anything. So I personally would ignore comments about X game killing Y in the case of any Hoyoverse games, and especially not Genshin, SR, ZZZ and HI3rd. There is little to no room for one game killing another. There is no killing, you can play both!Īnother aspect of "killing": If someone spent 2 years playing a game, doing their dailies everyday, and farming and slowly progressing through the game - they won't be willing to quit that game so easily just because some new shiny title has been released. I mean people ARE playing like 6 gachas at once everyday and it still takes them like an hour or so. After adding Star Rail to that, it's not gonna change. Plenty of time to play another game if not a few others even. Like right now in genshin, there is no new event, no new content, so you just log in for dailies, which take around 15-20 minutes - the end. I agree, especially that neither Genshin or Star Rail actually will have enough content later on to keep you playing it a lot.
